The biggest democracy of the world today stands solemn facing a question even bigger than its own existence and unfortunately it has no answer.
We say that we are a free country, but if we ask ourselves the question do we really have an answer? I believe no!
Is it just the freedom to move about or shop that our freedom fighters sacrificed their lives for, or was it the freedom of thought and its expression that they wanted. Although the long struggle they managed the freedom of expression but sadly enough we still have failed miserably in achieving the freedom of thought.
Although the longest and the most elaborate constitution of the world declares India as a secular state and we believe it just for the sake of it.
What escapes the eye is hard to realise but the truth stands solid right in its place. The religion based reservation in some of the most prestigious colleges of our nation stands as a bitter example which our senses fail to realise.
I know I’m gonna be showered with a lot of rant mails after this article goes public but the fact remains that how liberal we might sound, how rational we think we are we are still thinking what the british wanted us to.
We have come a long way since 1947 but yet have certain prejudice about the people who worship a different god or who don’t see god the way we do. Even if we say we don’t I don’t find another plausible reason for the low frequency of inter religion marriages in such a huge populace of Indians. Over the years we have drifted apart so much that even if we are left to work together as the people of the same nation, inspite of having common interests our productivity suffers. Thus a voice calls out through the silent tolerance of this innocent nation and calls in dejection that "United we fall."

THINK....... about being secular I thnk today's mass s learning to respect each ohter's sentiments n acts in a very mature manner !! though there s lot more for improvement but a good start should be appreciated rather than criticized !!!!!!!!!!!
