It is easy to deny and to ignore. It is easy to assume that we have all the answers, easier still to believe we don’t need any answers. But the most difficult part is to speak out, and worse still, to listen…
Because it’s only when we listen that we realize the harmony of our jubilant lives is not all that perfect after all. That there are voices beyond and beneath ours. Unheard and ignored.
Some of us choose not to listen. Some of us just raise the volume of our own stereos. 
But not all of us are that conveniently fortunate.
There are some whom those voices haunt, and they listen. Because they realize there is a reality beyond Gucci and Versace. They realize the disfigured and distorted picture of democracy blatantly painted on our walls. They realize the foundation of deep depravity that the edifice of our greatness as a nation is built upon. And most importantly, they realize that they can not afford to sit back and “let it be”…coz it’s their story.  It’s our story. So it’s for us to write it. It’s for us to move, and shake, and create. Create a new foundation which is big enough to accommodate those who have been forced into the oblivion of non-existence. Lend our voices to those who have long been silenced.
 Let’s have arms a little longer. Let’s reach out.
