Kirat Parva is based on the exploitation of lowers castes and ‘untouchables’ by the so-called superior and purer sections of society.  Drawn from episodes in the Mahabharata, the play looks at how ruling classes do not hesitate to violate even their own laws to serve their interests and reinforce their power structures.
