The prince Jayaveera is not interested in a worldly life or in ascending his father’s throne and is quite content to be pursuing philosophy. However, this changes when he meets Sadarame, a beautiful innocent middle-class girl, who he succeeds in marrying. And that is when all their troubles begin. Even as hardships challenge young Sadarame, she overcomes every hurdle with her intelligence and the play ends on a happy note.
