Delhi University has increased the security in colleges for Holi. Last week in a meeting it was decided that students found indulging in acts of gross indiscipline and causing harassment of any kind will face strict disciplinary action.
In addition, a control room jointly manned by the Delhi Police, DTC and university authorities has been set up at 16, Chhatra Marg on the main campus to deal with any untoward incident. It can be reached on 27667221.

Police has been asked to maintain a constant vigil and to prevent any act of hooliganism. DTC crews have been told to take buses to the nearest police station in the event of any hooliganism taking place in a bus or to drive with lights on so that the nearest PCR van can intercept the bus and take action.

The university has also banned the playing of Holi during working hours in any educational institution. Entry to colleges is also subject to identity cards.
