Semester system in DU from 2010

The academic council (AC) of University of Delhi on Friday has given approval for the semester and will be implementated at the undergraduate level from the 2010-2011 academic session. The AC meeting debated the issue before approving it with an overwhelming majority.It has been done to improve the quality of learning and for better career options for students.The semester system will be based on an accumulation of credits. It will allow movement of students across universities in India and abroad. Some teachers are against the semester system.
