‘Convergence ’09’

Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies (University of Delhi) organized its annual National business convention, ‘Convergence ’09’ on the 5th and 6th of November at the Vallabhbhai Patel Chest Institute.
Chief Minister of Delhi, Smt. Sheila Dixit attended the event as the chief guest.She addressed the audience and inaugurated the official brochure of the event

The 2-day convention had ‘Containing Global Challenges’ as its theme. The first day was inaugurated by Mr. Vivek Mehra, Executive Director at Price Waterhouse Coopers. The inauguration ceremony was followed by a session on “Risk Management”, which saw the presence of corporate barons and academicians from organizations like Eicher Motors and Infinity Business School.
T. Noticeable amongst those present were senior journalist Paranjoy Guha Thakurta and economist Anjan Roy, who is associated with FICCI. The second day of the convention saw the presence of Dr. Ajay Dua, President of HSBC Securities, as its key-note speaker, who opened the day with a heart-winning presentation, which summed up the major global challenges which are being faced by the world today. Amongst those present as panelists included Chandresh Ruparel, Director – Rothschild India and Harisharan Singh, Manager, Playsports and Creatiwitty. “The immense participation and success of Convergence ’09 is a symbol of the youth leadership model,” said Sonakshi Gambhir, member of the organising team.
The event has been an enriching experience for all of us,” said Kartikeya Batra, one of the coordinators for the event. Serve&Volley, amongst others, was one of the sponsors of the event. Others included Titan, Nestle, Hero Honda, Samsung , BIG FM, Business Line and Raghunath Group.
